Our Mission
Together, we serve as advocates for supporting all students as unique individuals, preparing them for a successful transition to high school and in becoming self-directed contributors of society.
Drake's Mental Health team helps students across social/emotional, academic, and career domains. Students can request a check with their school counselor by filling out the forms linked below. Parents, please note that e-mail is the preferred method of communication.

What do all the different Mental Health Professionals do at Drake?
Counselors help students with concerns around social, emotional, and academic needs. Counselors will meet one-on-one with students to support with a wide range of things like peer conflicts, study skills, safety, and so much more!
Social Emotional Learning Specialists support the whole school's social & emotional learning and meets with students.
Social workers primarily support the needs of a small group of students that qualify for their services through special education testing.
Jefferson Center Mental Health (JCMH) counselors are in the building to provide therapy during the school day. Students must be referred to JCMH to receive these services.
